There it was burning with a fever, unable to contain itself. I thought it would engulf its surroundings and gradually burn away all it could reach. What an exaggerated thought, as it was only a candle flame and not capable of causing such damage unless it was allowed to. Life is like that. You can allow yourself to be taken over, lose sight of your direction and get totally lost in another person's ego. Do not allow this to happen. Remember your own light, your own life, your reason for being here. We are all individuals in our own right. Lead your life to the best of your capabilities and do not allow another to outgrow your fiery light or overshadow your brilliant fire.
